NTC issues memorandum for HIPERLANs and RLANs

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) of the Republic of the Philippines has issued Memorandum Circular No. 002-07-2024 to amend Section 2 of Memorandum Circular No. 03-05-2007. This amendment redefines and adds new provisions to the Operating Parameters of “HIPERLANs” and “RLANs.”

The new Memorandum Circular specifies the conditions of use and maximum power limits for “HIPERLANs” and “RLANs” in the following frequency bands:

• 2400-2483.5 MHz
• 5150-5350 MHz
• 5470-5850 MHz
• 5925-6425 MHz
• 17.1-17.3 GHz

This Memorandum Circular will take effect 15 days after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation on July 20.
