The Ministry of Communication, Posts and Digital Economy of the Republic of Niger has issued Order No. 00010/MCP/EN/SG/DL, dated 8 February 2025, in accordance with Articles 33 and 34 of Law No. 2018-45 of 12 July 2018, as amended.

This Order sets out the requirements and procedures for obtaining type approval of radio equipment and licensing of communications equipment installers.

  • Installers must hold a valid license issued by ARCEP
  • Certified equipment must meet technical, safety, and data protection standards

Certificate Format

  • Name and address of both the manufacturer and importer
  • Frequencies intended for equipment usage
  • Specific usage conditions and limitations, if applicable

Validity

  • Equipment certification: 3 years, renewable
  • Installer license: 2 years, renewable

Transition Period

  • Existing certifications and licenses remain valid until expiration
  • Stakeholders must comply within 6 months from the date of this Order
