Radar Radio Management Regulations
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has issued the “Radar Radio Management Regulations (Trial)” to address the increasing demand for radar in sectors such as meteorology, transportation, and disaster management. These regulations are designed to enhance radar system operations, ensure safety in national infrastructure and economic activities and foster orderly development within the radar industry.
The Regulations will come into effect on January 1, 2026, at which point compliance with the new regulations will be mandatory, and existing approvals that do not align with the new rules will not be renewed. Users of radar stations wishing to continue operation beyond approval expiration must reapply for licenses as necessary.
