ANATEL Approval

ANATEL (Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicaciones) mandates the approval of telecommunications, radio, and data networking equipment in Brazil. This approval is contingent on in-country testing and certification by an accredited private certification body, or OCD, before ANATEL grants its authorization.

The product's external power supply must be tested with it, and in some cases, both the power supply and product may need additional approval from INMETRO. While ANATEL handles type approvals or homologation certificates, INMETRO is responsible for safety approvals in Brazil.

A local applicant is required for the process. Compliance International can assist with obtaining ANATEL approval and can also provide a local applicant for clients without a local presence.
