BSMI Clarifies Implementation Date for DoC Products

27 Sep 2010     Taiwan

Taiwan's EMC regulator, the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) has clarified the date on which its new requirements will become effective for products presently declared compliant under its DoC scheme.

Previously BSMI announced its requirements to test radiated emissions above 1GHz and conducted emissions on telecommunications ports would come into effect on 1 October 2010. However, no specific direction was provided on how this would affect products already in the market under its DoC scheme.

Now BSMI has made clear that products presently declared under DoC must be tested and declared compliant by 1 March 2011.
