 MIIT Network Access License

In 2008 the name of China's Ministry of Information Industry (MII) was changed to the Ministry of Information and Information Technology (MIIT). The MIIT Network Access License is required for telecommunications equipment in China. The NAL is also required for some categories of equipment not specifically considered telecom equipment in other countries. The process requires extensive testing and support and may include network trials and review of the product by a local panel of experts, in addition to laboratory testing against China's national standards.

CCC

The China Compulsory Certification scheme is required for a list of product categories that includes many types of ITE. With revisions to the list of product categories in 2009, some categories of telecommunications equipment now also must have the CCC mark in order to pass customs for import into China. The certification process includes laboratory testing against Chinese national standards and inspection of the product's manufacturing facility.
